PAIR

Early in the 21st century, an number of concerned citizens met and asked,  "What is the minimal set of instructions that the human needs in order to successfully further the evolution of consciousness on Earth."

After many hours of conversation, the answer that emerged was:

Be Present

Be Authentic

Be Inclusive

Be Responsible

While these may be studied separately, in reality they form an integrated whole. As an acronym, the spell PAIR.

Why bother with PAIR? What value does this have? And, especially relative to the institution of war, what is the relevance here?

One answer to this lies in the fundamental insight of Mahatma Gandhi, who recommended, "Be the change you want to see in the world."

What does this mean? Just this: If we REALLY want to see an end to the institution of war, we would BE these principles, to be congruent with that goal. That means, to be present, authentic, inclusive and responsible. By living these principles, we will add to the possibility of a world beyond war becoming a reality.

One way of thinking is to say that, at a most fundamental level, PAIR is a blueprint for survival.

Here are four meditations on PAIR:

Becoming authentic video

Becoming inclusive video

Becoming responsible video

If you feel motivated, watch these meditations on a regular basis. Train yourself to be more present, authentic, inclusive and responsible. Then, SHARE this Web site with your friends, neighbors, co-workers and family. Be part of history.
